Yunquan is an Assistant Professor of Community Ecology in College of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Zhejiang Normal University. He finished his PhD with Prof. Zhang Jintun at College of Life Sciences, Beijing Normal University, and with Prof. Mi Xiangcheng and Ma Keping at Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also was a visiting PhD student with Prof. Marc Cadotte at University of Toronto-Scarborough. The main research interests is to understand the mechanism of species coexistence and its implications for biodiversity conservation from local community to regional area via integrating functional traits and phylogeny of forest long-term dynamic data. Yunquan also interest to how local neighborhood interactions in response to ongoing climate changes. Yunquan has led and participated in nearly thirty research projects, including those funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and the Talent Introduction Program of Zhejiang Normal University. He has authored or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in prominent international and domestic journals such as Ecology Letters, Plant Diversity, Forest Ecology and Management, Frontiers in Plant Science, Ecology, and Acta Ecologica Sinica. In addition, he has served as a reviewer for several academic journals, including Plant Diversity, Forest Ecology and Management, Journal of Plant Ecology, and Frontiers in Plant Science, and has been appointed as an expert reviewer for thesis evaluations by the Ministry of Education China.
