Dr. Qing Liang's research interests include the micro-structure of biomembranes, interactions between biomembranes and cytoskeleton, and interactions between biomembranes and nanoparticles. His group use the methods of molecular simulations to understand the microscopic physical mechanisms of the formation of nanosized domains in plasma membranes, the influences of cytoskeleton on the strcuture and dynamics of plasma membranes, the translocation processes of nanoparticles across biomembrane, and the cytotoxicity of nanoparticles from the molecular or atomistic scale.
