Abstract : In this work, we present a highly sensitive optical thermometer, Tm 3+ /Yb 3+  co-doped Sr 2 GdF 7  transparent oxyfluoride glass ceramic (GC). Sr 2 GdF 7 :Tm 3+ /Yb 3+  GC was synthesized by traditional melt-quenching method with further crystallization
