Dr. Xu Wanxiu is an associate professor, serving as the head of the Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Testing and Control Master's program. She is also a mentor for master's students and a member of the Chinese Communist Party. In 2018, she earned her doctoral degree from Jiangnan University. In 2015, she was selected for a national scholarship to pursue joint doctoral training at McGill University in Canada. Her research focuses on detection and signal processing, as well as non-destructive testing in the field of food. She has published 24 academic papers in SCI journals.

Dr. Xu has led one national-level project, participated in another national-level project, and served as the principal investigator for two education-industry collaborative projects funded by the Ministry of Education. She received recognition as one of the top ten teachers in the Young Education Competition at Zhejiang Normal University and guided her class to win the Silver Award for Academic Excellence.

She was the second person in charge of the course "Mechanical Design," an all-English class recognized as a top international course in Zhejiang Province. Additionally, Dr. Xu is leading a virtual simulation project at the university level. Currently, she is responsible for teaching courses such as "Engineering Drawing" (both in English and Chinese), "Part Measurement" (both in English and Chinese), "Mechanical Design," "Testing Technology," and "Food Machinery and Equipment."

Dr. Xu has undertaken three university-level teaching reform projects, with two of them already completed. She emphasizes theoretical exploration in teaching and combines the use of the Chaoxing platform with the ClassIn platform to conduct blended online and offline teaching for her courses.
